Jessy Lynn Martens
Vocalist and MultiInstrumentalist

“If the Beatles had been influenced by bluegrass titans Flatt & Scruggs instead of the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band might have sounded something like this.”

The Orlando Sentinel, on Jessy Lynn Marten’s 2012 release Finding Flowers

Performing since the age of five and competing in violin competitions since the age of eight, Jessy Lynn Martens has graced the world’s stages as a vocalist and multiinstrumentalist. Bluegrass music masters Bill Monroe, Chubby Wise, Raymond Fairchild and Ronnie Stoneman each noticed her talent at a young age and invited Jessy, then only twelve years old, to share their stages at various Bluegrass Festivals. Shortly thereafter, Jessy was invited to perform on Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium stage with Grammy Award winner Allison Krause’s band members from Union Station. At the age of fifteen, she accepted her first fulltime professional position with the renowned Cajun/Zydeco band The Porch Dogs, giving her the opportunity to perform at major U.S. festivals and with the best in the genre... Doug Kershaw, Beau Soleil, and Donna The Buffalo to name a few.

A few years later, David Allen Coe would invite Jessy to sit in as a guest musician during his stint every year at Bike Week in Daytona, FL. Opportunities supporting Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson and Phil Vassar led to Jessy working with major recording studios, cowriting with indemand songwriters, and contracting as a vocalist, multiinstrumentalist and performer with the

Walt Disney Company.

In 2010 Jessy joined Drivin N Cryin bandleader Kevn Kinney on a whirlwind tour of Western Europe, culminating in a performance at Amsterdam’s prestigious Paradiso. Following on the tails of this international exposure, she began production and recording on what would eventually be Jessy’s third solo release... 2012’s

Finding Flowers.

2013 saw F/X Network’s hit TV show Archer knocking at the door. Originally hired as a fiddle and mandolin performer for the 12 Kevn Kinneyproduced tracks for Archer’s fifth season, Jessy won over the Archer producers to become the singing voice of animated country music superstar

Cheryl/Cherlene. Queen of Outlaw Country.

Jessy Lynn Martens is currently cowriting with Kevn Kinney, Angie Aparo, Chuck Mead and Aaron Lee Tasjan in anticipation of her next album release in fall 2014.
